The Aurora University men's basketball team battled the Cougars of Concordia University Chicago but would fall in the end, losing to CUC 74-69.

- After trailing 8-2 the Spartans rallied with a 6-0 run to knot the score 8-8 with 14:45 to play in the first-half.
- Late in the first-half the Spartans found themselves down eight but again responded with a 6-0 run behind a three from Isaiah Davis to get back to within a basket.
- A three-point play from Maxwell Marius concluded the first-half scoring as AU went to halftime down two at 33-31.
- The second-half was back and forth as both teams traded scoring punches and neither team led by more than four.
- Midway through the second, Noah Butler grabbed a long rebound and drained a three to give the Spartans a 49-48 lead.
- On the next possession the AU lead grew to a game-high four points.
- After CUC made a run to take a two-point lead, James Glazebrooks drained a three to again put AU in the lead.
- With 2:20 to play, Butler tied the score at 65-65.
- CUC out scored AU in the final two minutes 9-4 and AU would fall 74-69.
