Spartans clobber Concordia Chicago behind strong team effort

18 Spartans saw action as the Aurora University women's basketball team clobbered the visiting Cougars of Concordia University Chicago 92-57 on Thursday night.

How it happened
- A three from Eliot Dojutrek gave the Spartans a 7-6 lead and AU never trailed again in the game.
- The Dojutrek three sparked a 15-2 Spartan run and AU led 19-8 late in the first.
- AU would lead 31-14 with Alina Anderson collecting a loose ball and making a jumper just before the first quarter buzzer sounded.
- The Spartans built a 22-point lead and went on to lead by 25 at 56-31 going to halftime. 
- Krystyna Manzanarez drained a three to finish a 10-0 AU run with eight coming from Manzanarez.
- AU started slowly in the third but still held a lead in the 20's before another 10-0 run pushed the lead to 30.
- Kamryn Bullock had five of the points in the run.
- The Spartans led 72-44 through three quarters.
- A free throw from Elizabeth Griswold gave the Spartans their largest lead of 43.
- AU would win easily 92-57.
