The Aurora University men's basketball team traveled to St. Norbert College on Wednesday night, as the number seven seed Spartans took on the number two seed Green Knights in the quarterfinals of 2025 Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference tournament. Despite a valiant effort from
Joevonn McCottry who netted 30 points for AU, the Spartans saw their season conclude with a 83-72 loss.

- SNC started the contest on a 16-2 scoring run, as AU trailed by 14 with 13:27 to go in the first-half.
- AU followed with a 7-0 scoring run of their own, making it 16-9 in favor of the Green Knights with 10:54 to go in the half.

Joevonn McCottry started to get going during this run for the Spartans, as he netted four points.
- WIth 5:55 left in the half,
Dwayne Jervier Jr. nearly cut the SNC lead to single digits with a finish at the rim, as the hosts held a 32-22 lead.
- The Spartans did indeed cut it to single digits after a
Maxwell Marius free throw with 2:21 until the half.
- A 9-0 scoring run from the Green Knights gave them a 44-26 lead going into the locker room.
- McCottry finished with 16 points in the first-half for AU.
- With 14:46 on the clock, SNC took their largest lead of the contest at 63-32.
- AU showed fight, cutting the Green Knight lead down to 14 with about three minutes to go following a McCottry three.
- The Spartans would end up falling by a score of 83-72.
- AU did out-shoot the number two seeded Green Knights from the field in the contest, but it was not enough in the 11 point loss.
