Spartan road rally comes up shy in loss

The Aurora University men's lacrosse team took to the road to take on Kalamazoo College in a contest that was rescheduled from earlier in the season due to weather. AU fell behind early, made a furious third quarter rally but ended up falling just short in a 12-9 loss.

How it happened
- The Spartans trailed 1-0 before Luke DuPont tied the contest with an assist from Rielan Pura.
- Trailing 3-1 in the second, Carson Leader pulled the Spartans within one. His goal was assisted by Tyler Foerstel.
- Leader added an unassisted goal later in the second to finish the AU first-half scoring.
- AU trailed Kalamazoo 8-3 going to halftime.
- The Spartans came out flying in the third, out-scoring Kalamazoo 5-1.
- Goals came from Conor Bolton, Foerstel and Ben Strub before back to back man-up goals from Chris Bucci and Foerstel.
- Heading to the fourth, AU trailed 9-8.
- The hot Spartan offense in the third was cooled down by the hosts in the fourth with Kalamazoo scoring three times to go ahead 12-8.
- Late in the fourth, Leader added his third of the day to round out the games scoring.
- AU fell on the road 12-9.
