The Aurora University Men's Track and Field team competed in the Keck Select at Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington, Ill.
Armando Acosta finished well for the Spartans in both the 800-meter and the mile, placing fifth and eighth, respectively. His time of 4:21.61 in the mile now puts him at second in school history in the event.
Liam Evans ran 16:14.09 in the 5,000-meter, good for a fifth-place finish.
Steven Tinsley finished seventh in the shot put with a throw of 15.38m. He also competed in the weight throw, where his mark of 16.57m earned him ninth place finish.
Mekhii Morris-Heron won his heat of the 400-meter by over 2 seconds in 52.54s, good for a 15th place finish overall.
Jahrel Rimpel finished first in his heat of the 60m dash in 7.22s.
Up next, the Spartans will compete in the Chicagoland Indoor Championships at North Central College in Naperville, IL on Saturday, February 15.
