Asher Deputy has been named Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Men's Lacrosse Student-Athlete of the Week, as selected by the league's athletics communications professionals. This is the third time in his career Deputy has earned the award, after receiving it twice last season as a freshman for the Spartans.
Deputy led Aurora in goal to a 2-0 week with wins over Concordia Wisconsin (14-5) and at MSOE (16-4), as he collected 27 saves while allowing eight goals in the two games. He had 16 saves against CUW and 11 at MSOE. Deputy has averaged 15.57 saves per game this season for the Spartans, which is good for second among goalies in the NACC thus far.
Next scheduled action for the Spartan men's lacrosse team comes on Wednesday, March 26 when they host Cornell College. Opening face-off is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. at Spartan Athletic Park in Montgomery, Illinois.
