The Aurora University men's volleyball team won their fifth-straight match on Friday night, as the #12 ranked Spartans took down the #11 ranked Duhawks of Loras College in three-straight sets.
Josh McLellan led the charge for AU with 17 kills across those three sets, as AU moves back to conference play next week.

- Each team went back-and-forth to begin the match, before back-to-back kills from
Josh McLellan gave AU a 12-9 lead about halfway through the first set.
- The Spartans took their largest lead of the set at 19-14 following a
Sebastian Ciszewski kill.
- Loras did get within one, but AU would end up taking the first set by a score of 25-23.
- McLellan picked up right where he left off in the first set, as back-to-back kills from him gave the Spartans a 5-2 lead in the second set.
- About halfway through the second set, the Spartans held a 13-12 lead.
- With the score knotted at 22, AU pulled away with three-straight points to take the second set by a score of 25-22.
- AU held a .355 hitting percentage in the second frame to help get them out to the 2-0 set lead.
- Similar to the first two sets, each side went back-and-forth before the Spartans pulled away with a 14-10 lead, forcing a Loras timeout.
- Later in the set, Loras took a 20-17 lead.
- AU stormed back, finishing the set on an 8-3 run including a couple of late
Connor Carroll kills.
- This helped give the Spartans the 25-23 third set win and 3-0 match victory.
