The Aurora University men's lacrosse team traveled to the University of Dubuque on Wednesday afternoon, beginning a three-game road trip for AU as they continue conference play rolling into April. Backed by a hat-trick each from
Owen Spencer and
Griffin Joas, AU knocked off Dubuque by a score of 12-6.

Owen Spencer didn't waste any time giving AU an early 1-0 lead off an assist from
Conor Bolton at 14:30 in the first.
- Dubuque tied the score at one at 11:55 in the first, before
Griffin Joas re-gave AU their one goal lead with a score at 7:59.
- Three-straight unassisted goals for AU to close out the opening frame gave them a 5-1 lead going into the second quarter.

Ben Strub and Spencer each scored for AU in that stretch in the first, while
Travis Weischadle found
Tyler Foerstel for another AU score.
- That lead stretched to 6-1 early in the second for AU off another Spencer goal assisted by Bolton.
- At 7:08 in the second, Dubuque trimmed the AU lead to 6-2 with a goal.
- Back-to-back AU goals by way of Joas to close out the first-half extended AU's lead to 8-2.
- Bolton picked up another assist on the first Joas score, while it was
Chris Bucci that found Joas for the second.
- AU secured a man-up going into the second-half and wasted no time finding the back of the net, as Bucci sniped one in at 14:51 in the third off an assist from
Rielan Pura.
- Dubuque scored at 6:27 to trim their deficit to 9-3 in the third.
- Another man-up goal for AU at 7:55 in the fourth from Strub gave them a 10-3 lead, before Dubuque score just over a minute later to make it 10-4.
- Back-to-back goals from Bucci and
Owen Meyer helped give AU a 12-4 lead late in the fourth,
- Despite two goals from Dubuque in that remaining 1:23, AU took a 12-6 victory.
