Noah Kosmicki and
Eli Etzler were named Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Men's Lacrosse Student-Athlete of the Week, as selected by the league's athletics communications professionals.
Defense --- Noah Kosmicki, So., Defense
Kosmicki, a sophomore, dominated the defensive zone for Aurora, collecting seven caused turnovers and picking up seven ground balls on defense in a pair of Aurora wins.
Specialist --- Eli Etzler, Jr., Midfield
Etzler, a junior midfielder, was extremely effective on faceoffs for the Spartans, winning at a .771 rate (27-of-35) over two games. He was 10-of-15 with four ground balls in the regular-season finale against Benedictine. Against Edgewood to open the NACC Tournament, Etzler was 17-of-20 on faceoffs with 11 ground balls. He also scored a goal against the Eagles.
Next scheduled action for the Spartan men's lacrosse team comes on Wednesday, April 30 when they host Lake Forest College in the NACC Tournament. Opening face-off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at Spartan Athletic Park in Montgomery, Illinois.
