The Aurora University baseball team played their final games of their 2025 regular season on Friday afternoon, as the Spartans took on the Little Giants of Wabash College. AU took game one at Jim Schmid Field by a score of 13-3 backed by 24 hits as a team including a near cycle from Joe Lukancic, before the Spartans were downed 8-3 in game two.

Game One:
- Nick Czarnecki got AU started off in the bottom-of-the-first with an RBI single, before Ryan Buck doubled to make it 2-0 early in the contest.
- The Spartans started another rally in their half of the second, starting with a Matthew Washington RBI single, followed by a Joe Lukancic two-run bomb that made it 5-0 going into the third inning.
- In the bottom-of-the-third, Spencer Ruch singled through the left side to score Brayden Gorecki.
- Lukancic led-off AU's half of the fourth with a triple, before later coming around to score on a Logan Riley sac-fly and make it 7-0 AU.
- Wabash scored their first run of the game in the top-of-the-fifth to make it 7-1.
- That lead stretched back to seven for the Spartans in the fifth when Ruch jacked a ball down the left field line, traveling over the wall for a solo homer.
- In the bottom-of-the-sixth, a Riley RBI single and Czarnecki sac-fly gave AU a 10-1 lead.
- Wabash answered with two runs in their half of the seventh.
- Carson Faust and Dominick Curcio each had RBI single in the eighth to help AU run away with the 13-3 game one victory in eight innings.
- Justin Zimmerman finished with the win on the mound in game one, backed by six innings of one run ball for the Spartans.
Game Two
- It was Wabash who took an early 1-0 lead in the top-of-the-first of game two.
- That lead stretched to 3-0 in the second for the visitors.
- AU answered back with two of their own in the bottom-of-the-second when Will Sevier singled through the left side to score Ryan Buck and Nick Czarnecki.
- In the top-of-the-third, Wabash regained their two-run lead to give them a 5-2 advantage.
- Another run from Wabash in the third made it 6-2, but Brayden Gorecki answered back for the Spartans in the fourth with an RBI single.
- In the top-of-the-sixth Wabash scored two runs to take an 8-3 lead.
- AU would end up falling by this 8-3 score in game two.
