Colon Maldonado wraps up career at 2025 NCAA Outdoor Championship

Aurora University track and field senior Deedee Colon Maldonado ran the final race of the AU career on Saturday afternoon in the 5,000-meter run at the 2025 NCAA Division III Outdoor Championship in Geneva, Ohio. She added a 10th All-American recognition to her earnings with a ninth-place finish in the race.

Colon Maldonado ran to a ninth place finish with a time of 16:46.96 which was enough to earn a Second-Team All-American honor with the final place.

She departs AU with 10 All-American honors, two in cross country (2024 and 2023), four indoor track and field (2024 in the 3,000 and 5,000; 2025 in the mile and 3,000) and four in outdoor track and field (2024 in the 1,500 and 5,000; 2025 in the 10,000).

Additionally she finishes with numerous AU and Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference records:
