Aurora University track and field senior
Deedee Colon Maldonado ran the final race of the AU career on Saturday afternoon in the 5,000-meter run at the
2025 NCAA Division III Outdoor Championship in Geneva, Ohio. She added a 10th All-American recognition to her earnings with a ninth-place finish in the race.
Colon Maldonado ran to a ninth place finish with a time of 16:46.96 which was enough to earn a Second-Team All-American honor with the final place.
She departs AU with 10 All-American honors, two in cross country (2024 and 2023), four indoor track and field (2024 in the 3,000 and 5,000; 2025 in the mile and 3,000) and four in outdoor track and field (2024 in the 1,500 and 5,000; 2025 in the 10,000).
Additionally she finishes with numerous AU and Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference records:
