The Aurora University women's volleyball team dropped the opener of the Wheaton College Invite on Friday afternoon, losing to the host Thunder 3-0.

- Unforced errors did in the Spartans in the first set as they fell 25-14.
- AU played the second set to a closer score but nine more attack errors were the difference as they fell 25-20.
- The Spartans challenged the Thunder in the third set but unfortunately the unforced errors were the difference in the 25-19 set loss.
