The Aurora University Men's cross country team competed today at their home meet, the Spartan Classic. The men finished in fourth place with a score of 132 points. North Central (Ill.), Purdue University Northwest, and College of Dupage took the top three spots, respectively.
Armando Acosta opened his season as the top Spartan on the day, finishing in 27:59.8 for 14th place.
Second across the line for the team was Josh Thoms in 29:36.8. He was followed closely by Dayton Beatty in 29:41.6.
Aurora's fourth finisher was Liam Evans in 30:49.5.
Edwin Amaro completed the Spartan top five in 30:59.4.
The next race for the Spartans comes on September 20th as they compete in the Gil Dodds Invitational. The meet is hosted by Wheaton College at St. James Farm in Warrenville, IL.
