Spartans Drop 2-0 Road Match

The Aurora University men's soccer turned in a competitive effort on the road Saturday afternoon, but a pair of second-half goals proved to be the difference in a 2–0 setback.

How it happened
- The first half was tightly contested, with both sides trading fouls and set-piece opportunities.
- AU generated four shots in the opening 45 minutes, including a strong attempt on goal from Branden Dolezal that forced a save from the Maroons goalkeeper.
- The Spartan defense held firm to send the match into halftime scoreless.
- The Maroons broke through early in the second half with a goal in the 53rd minute to take a 1–0 lead.
-  Aurora continued to battle, earning a pair of corner kicks and testing the keeper with shots from Josue Roman and Ray Fischer, but the Spartans couldn't find an equalizer.
- A second goal in the 68th minute extended the deficit to 2–0, which held to the final whistle.
- The Spartans finished the match with nine total shots, two of which were on goal. Goalkeepers Alex Ageladelis and Eron Qorri combined for four saves in the effort.
