Hulsey Folds of Honor win

Spartans finish second at 2025 Folds of Honor Challenge as Hulsey wins medalist honors

The Aurora University men's golf team went shot for shot with some of the top NCAA Division I, Division II, NAIA and Junior College programs in the country at the 2025 Folds of Honor Challenge with AU being the only NCAA Division III program in the field. The Spartans shot a three-round 862 (296/287/279) to finish second, just two strokes behind Division II power Grand Valley State. Spartan senior Jackson Hulsey claimed his second straight individual meet championship with a three-under par 210 over three rounds of golf, firing a 68/75/67. He won the event in an exciting playoff.

Top Performers
- Jackson Hulsey won medalist honors in a four-hole playoff finishing with a three-round score of three-under par 210 (68/75/67).
- With the individual win, Hulsey earns an automatic exemption into the 2025 Patriot All-America on December 27-31 at Wigwam Golf Club in Litchfield Park, Arizona.
- Mattias Morris finished third with a three-round score two-under par 211 (75/67/69).
- Christian Wakeford finished tied for 26th with a three-round score of 223 (77/75/71).
- Caleb Negley finished tied for 30th with a three-round score of 225 (76/70/79).
- Brandon Burggraf (individual) finished tied for 30th with a three-round score of 225 (80/74/71).
- William Lange finished tied for 47th with a three-round score of 232 (83/77/72).

Next action for the Spartan men's golf team comes on Sunday, September 21 through Tuesday, September 23 when they travel to the NCAA Division III Championship Fall Preview in Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida.
