The Aurora University men's soccer team had their home opener Wednesday night at Spartan Athletic Park. They opened up with a 3-1 loss to North Park University, with their lone goal coming from Josue Roman in the 77th minute. The Vikings scored one goal in the first half and ended the game scoring two more, late in the action.

- The Spartans took the first shot of the game in the 1st minute, narrowly missing up from Walter Delapaz.
- The first goal of the game however wouldn't come until the 40th minute by the Vikings.
- Aurora would jog out a different group of guys to start the second half and again would have the first shot of the half, coming from Luce Avendano.
- And in the 57th minute North Park would score their second goal.
- AU's single goal came in the 77th minute from Josue Roman assisted by Jorge Morales.
- North Park would quickly snag one of their own in the next minute, scoring the final goal of the contest. 
- Spartan goalie Alex Agleadelis had five huge saves by the end of the contest.
