Aurora University freshman libero Katie Brisk was named Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Women's Volleyball Defensive Student-Athletes of the Week, as selected by the league's athletics communications professionals.

Brisk earned the honor after she paced the AU defense in a 4-0 weekend at the Ripon College Classic. In her first four collegiate matches and 14 sets of competition, she picked up 70 digs for 5.00 per set and received at a .930 clip. She also added six service aces on the weekend.

Next scheduled action for the Spartan women's volleyball team comes on Saturday, September 6, when they travel to the Lake Forest College Invitational. AU takes on Carthage College at 12:00 p.m. and Lake Forest College 2:00 p.m. in Lake Forest, Illinois.
