Aurora University football student-athletes
TJ Ramsey and
Trey Urwiler were named the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Football Offensive and Special Teams Players of the Week as selected by a panel of the NACC Athletic Communication professionals.
Offense --- TJ Ramsey
Ramsey earned the honor after he carried the ball 11 times for 123 yards and three touchdowns in a 66-0 win over Eureka. He averaged 11.2 yards per carry and had a long of 59 which went for a touchdown. Ramsey also caught four passes for 35 yards.
Special Teams --- Trey Urwiler
Urwiler earned the honor after he returned a punt 47 yards for a touchdown in Aurora's 66-0 win at Eureka. The return came in the first quarter with the game still in doubt. He would finish with two punt returns for 54 yards and one kickoff return for 18 yards in the contest.
Next action for the Spartan football team comes on Saturday, October 4 when they travel to Lakeland University. Kick-off is slated for 1:00 p.m. in Plymouth, Wisconsin.
