The Aurora University women's volleyball team took on Carthage College and Lake Forest College in a tri-match at Lake Forest College on Saturday afternoon. AU split the matches, falling to Carthage 3-1 before rebounding to defeat Lake Forest 3-0.

MATCH ONE:
- AU stormed out to an early lead and after a pair of
Izabella Kowalczyk aces forced a Carthage timeout.
- The Spartan would hang on to win the set 25-23 but not before some tense late points.
- Kowalczyk finished with three aces in the set and
Trinity Nelson handed out eight assists.
- AU would drop the next three sets but were led by 13 kills in the sets from
Katelyn Ruse.
MATCH TWO
- The opening set with Lake Forest was back and forth and went extra points with the Spartans hanging on to win 27-25.

Addyson Timpane had five kills with Sophia Knazur adding four while Nelson had 11 assists.
- The Spartans dominated the second set, winning 25-8 with AU only having five servers in the win.
- A pair of aces from
Carolyn Lippe led the way as LFC committed nine attack errors to aid the Spartan win.
- The third set was very entertaining back and forth scoring with 12 score ties and eight lead changes.
- AU had the final tie and lead change in their favor as they won 30-28.
- The Spartans hit .326 in the set win with six kills from Kately Ruse, five from Timpane and four from
Samantha Torres.
