Spartans finish third at NWCA National Duals

The Aurora University Spartans women's wrestling team finished third at the 2026 NWCA National Duals with a pair of exciting matches on Saturday. AU fell in the winners semi-final to Wartburg 23-21 before defeating Western New England University 23-22 in the third-place match.

- Genesis Ramirez won both of her matches on the day, scoring 10 points
- Alexis Janiak won both of her matches, scoring nine points.
- Sophia Ball won both of her matches to score seven points.
- Anneliese Tavira won both of her matches to secure seven points.
- In the third place match and AU leading 22-19, Hannah McDuffee managed to secure one point while falling in a decision 3-1.
- The one point from McDuffee allowed AU to win 23-22 and the 2026 National Duals Third-Place title.
