Aurora University sophomore guard
Krystyna Manzanarez was named Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Women's Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week, as selected by the league's athletics communications professionals.
Manzanarez earned the honor after she helped Aurora to a 2-0 week with a pair of road wins over Concordia Chicago (102-54) and Lakeland (81-68). She averaged 21.5 points while having a strong shooting performance all around. Overall, Manzanarez shot 64 percent (16-of-25) from the field, 66 percent (4-of-6) from behind the arc and 78 percent (7-of-9) from the free-throw line. She also averaged 5.0 rebounds, 4.0 steals and 3.5 assists per game.
On the season, Manzanarez is averaging 15.8 points, 4.7 rebounds, 4.2 steals and 3.2 assists per game.
Next action for the Spartan women's basketball team comes on Wednesday, January 28, 2026 when they host Dominican University. Tip-off is set for 7:00 p.m. in Thornton Gymnasium.
