The Northern Collegiate Hockey Association (NCHA) has announced its 3 Stars of the Week. AU Spartan men's hockey forward Jakson Kirk was named one of the three stars of the week.

Kirk earned the recognition after he played a pivotal role in helping the Spartans secure a heavyweight sweep over Adrian. The junior forward finished the weekend with three points (2G, 1A). In Friday's 4-1 road victory, Kirk netted two goals, including the game-winner and an empty-netter to seal the win. He returned to the score sheet on Sunday, providing a crucial assist on the game-winning power-play goal in a 4-2 victory that kept the Spartans rolling.

Next scheduled action for the Spartan men's hockey team comes on Friday, January 9 when they host Lake Forest College in a non-conference contest. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at Fox Valley Ice Arena in Geneva, Illinois.
