Spartan win streak ends at 17

The Aurora University men's basketball team celebrated senior day prior to a contest with St. Norbert College on Saturday afternoon. AU saw their school record win streak of 17 games snapped in an 87-79 loss.

How it happened
- SNC drained a three to start the game but back to back possessions resulted in AU buckets from Juan Madrigal and Devon Richardson.
- The AU lead would be brief as another SNC three was the final lead change of the day.
- AU trailed 34-23 with six minutes left in the opening half and started a 6-0 run to pull to within five (34-29).
- Heading to halftime, AU trailed by 11, 44-33.
- The visitors shot 6-of-12 from three-point range in the first-half to aid in their lead.
- With 9:57 to play in the game, AU trailed by 15 (69-54).
- AU then ripped off a 10-0 run coming out of a timeout.
- The Spartans were down five (69-64) with 6:20 left to play.
- A three-point play from Devon Richardson with 3:31 remaining saw the Spartans down just four (76-72).
- A three from SNC quickly answered the Spartans.  
- The visitors made their free throws down the stretch and AU fell 87-79.
