The Aurora University Women's Track and Field team competed in the F. Lee Slick Invitational hosted by North Central College on Friday. The Spartans had a great showing in their final regular season meet, earning multiple top ten marks and many personal bests.

Mika Fields and
Susana Martinez took first and second place in the 800-Meters, respectively. Fields closed hard to hold off Martinez, finishing in 2:25.25. She is now seventh in school history in the event. Martinez finished close behind in 2:25.43, placing her ninth in school history.

Marisa Janecek placed eighth in the weight throw with a mark of 13.27m. She also contested the shot put, where she placed 16th with a throw of 9.27m.

Emma Jasutis finished 11th in the mile in a personal best time of 5:34.73.

Up next, the Spartans will compete in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Championships in Ripon, Wisconsin. The meet will take place on February 27th and 28th.
