Spartan Women Fall in overtime to Warriors on National Girls and Women in Sports Day

The Aurora University women's basketball team took on Wisconsin Lutheran College on National Girls and Women in Sports Day. The Spartans battled all game and sent the game into overtime ultimately falling to the Warriors 70-64.

How it happened
- Aurora University Athletics celebrated National Girls and Women in Sports Day leading up to tip-off against Wisconsin Lutheran.
- Alina Anderson won the tip for the Spartans Dani Antione scored the first basket of the game a few possessions later.
- The Spartans would lead at the end of the first quarter, 10-8.
- Kylie Fischbach got the Spartans rolling in the second quarter, starting of a three minute, 7-1 Spartan run.
- Krystyna Manzanarez capped off that run with a huge three-pointer to put AU on top 17-9.
- AU would maintain that lead heading into halftime, now leading 26-18.
- Manzanarez led the Spartans in the first half with ten points and four rebounds.
- The Spartans kept a seven point lead heading into the fourth quarter, now up 38-31.
- Wisconsin Lutheran started the fourth on an 8-0 run, eventually taking a one point lead with six minutes remaining.
- Riley Doggett answered back to end that run, cashing in a three-point basket to retake the lead.
- It would be a battle for the rest of regulation with AU taking a seven point lead with 1:20 left on the clock.
- Elizabeth Griswold gave the Spartans a two point lead with just over one second on the clock, but a Warrior heave combined with a layup under the rim would tie the game and send it to overtime. 
- Fischbach lead the Spartans with ten points in that fourth quarter, going three of five from the field and a perfect four for four at the stripe.
- Heading into overtime, the Warriors got off to a quick seven point lead.
- Two Manzanarez free throws got the Spartans within four, but that's as close as they would get the rest of the game.
- AU would fall to the Warriors 70-64.
