The Aurora University men's hockey team saw the historic run of the 2025-2026 season come to an end on Friday afternoon at the NCAA Division III Frozen Four. AU fell 6-3 to Hamilton College but a no goal call on a review of what would have been a game tying goal by Chase Broda with 4:41 remaining in the third period changed the momentum and direction of the final minutes of play.

- An early penalty on AU turned into a Hamilton power play goal 5:03 into the game.
- Hamilton added a goal with 5:43 remaining in the first and AU trailed 2-0 going to the first intermission.

- AU brought the offense in the third period, cutting the deficit in half at 6:54 on a goal from Kirk with assists to

Chase Broda had a shot that the Spartans celebrated immediately on but the on ice officials waved off as no goal. After a lengthy review that appeared to show ice between the goal line and goalies glove inside the net, the on ice call was upheld as no goal.
- With the game remaining 4-3, AU went to an empty net with Hamilton scoring twice as the Spartans tried to tie the game.
- AU would drop the contest 6-3.
