Spartans Use Big Third Quarter to Defeat MSOE

The Aurora University women's lacrosse team used a strong second-half surge to secure a 10-8 victory over MSOE on Wednesday afternoon at Viets Field. After trailing at halftime, the Spartans erupted in the third quarter to take control and held off a late push to remain unbeaten in conference play.

- Courtney gave Aurora its first lead with a man-up goal.
- Smith followed with another man-up goal to extend the lead.
- Amelia Bell added a goal during the run as Aurora built a 7-4 advantage.
- Smith capped the third-quarter surge with her third goal to make it 8-5.
- MSOE scored early in the fourth and later cut the deficit to 8-7.
- Smith answered with her fourth goal of the game to push the lead to 9-7.
