Five Aurora University men's hockey student-athletes were named to the recently released DIIIHockeyNews.com All-American Teams for the 2025-2026 season. Forward
Jakson Kirk was named to the Second-Team while defenseman
Simon Diaz, forward
Hassan Akl, forward
Lukas Sedlacek and goalie
Matt O'Donnell were selected as Third-Team members.
Kirk earned the recognition after he finished the season with a team-leading 24 goals and 14 assists for 38 points. He scored eight goals on the power play and four of his tallies would be game winners.
Akl finished the season with a team-leading 39 points on the season with 13 goals and 26 assists. Diaz finished with 25 points, scoring five goals and handing out 20 assists. Sedlacek was second in goals for AU with 19 and added 14 assists for 33 points. O'Donnell was the AU anchor between the pipes, posting a 22-4-1 with a 2.12 goals against average and a .929 save percentage.
The AU men's hockey team concluded the 2025-2026 season with a program best 25 wins and a 25-6-1 overall record and the first appearance in the NCAA Division III Frozen Four.
