Spartans fall in NACC Tournament

The Aurora University men's volleyball team dropped a tough four set battle with Dominican University in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Tournament.

RECORDS: Aurora University 20-7 overall 

How it happened
- AU built a 20-13 lead in the opening set while forcing the Stars to use both of their timeouts.
- Spartan errors though allowed Dominican back into the set at 20-20 and AU would fall 27-25.
- SJ Nelson led AU with five kills in the first set.
- The second set saw the Spartans trailing and work to come back and tie the score 20-20.
- DU would out hit AU in the final points and the Spartans fell 25-21.
- Josh McLellan had seven kills in the second set.
- The tightly contested match-up continued in the third set with the teams going back and forth.
- This time it was AU taking advantage of Dominican errors and won 25-22.
- McLellan stayed hot with eight more kills in the third.
- DU errors and Connor Carroll kills vaulted AU to an early lead in the fourth.
- The fourth would eventually see the score tied 13 times with five lead changes.
- AU would drop the fourth 25-23 and the match 3-1.
