Spartans fall to Rockford

A scheduled NACC doubleheader between the Aurora University Spartans and Rockford University Regents became just one game when inclement weather entered the equation prior to the start of game two. AU dropped game one at Rockford by a score of 7-2.

How it happened
- The Spartans fell behind 3-0 in the first and saw Rockford add one run again in the second and third.
- AU trailed 7-0 as the game headed to the sixth.
- The Spartans had a runner on with less than two outs in six of the first seven innings.
- Finally in the seventh the Spartans strung some things together.
- Isaac Goddard walked with the bases loaded and no outs to score Nick Czarnecki.
- Matthew Washington then drove in Jaden Holgado with a sac fly and AU was now down 7-2.
- AU would leave the bases loaded in the inning and only push across the two runs.
- The Spartans would go on to fall by a 7-2 final.
