Aurora University Athletics

The Aurora University softball team swept a NACC doubleheader at Marian University, defeating the Sabres 4-2 and 13-2.

Game One
- The Spartans jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first inning with Nina Richards driving in both Lily Komperda and Stephani DeBise.
- Marian managed to cut the AU lead in half in the third.
- The game remained 2-1 until the sixth.
- In the sixth, AU added a pair of runs on three hits. 
- AU starter Emma Way left two runners stranded in the bottom of the seventh as the Spartans won 4-2.

Game Two
- Once again the Spartans exploded in the first inning, this time scoring four times.
- Lily Komperda had a two-run double as the big hit in the inning.
- Four more Spartans hits came in the second with a Nina Richards double driving in two.
- After an inning and a half, AU led 7-0.
- Mia Malczyk homered in the third as AU added two more runs and led 9-0.
- Marian managed to score two runs in the bottom of the third but those would prove to be the only runs against AU pitcher Mia Rivera.
- AU added four more runs in the seventh, piecing together six singles in the inning.
- The Spatans were victorious in game two 13-2.
