Aurora University Athletics

The Aurora University women's volleyball team took on the Thunder of Wheaton College in a non-conference matchup on Tuesday night in Thornton Gymnasium. Led by 20 kills from Izabella Kowalczyk, 30 assists from Trinity Nelson and 21 digs from Katie Brisk, AU defeated the Thunder 3-0.

- The Spartans and Thunder jousted back and forth early with AU pulling away late for a 25-19 win.
- Izabella Kowalczyk led AU with five kills in the first set win.
- AU led the entirety of the second set and won handily 25-17.
- Kowalczyk (six) and Katelyn Ruse (four) fueled the AU attack as Trinity Nelson handed out 10 assists.
- The third set saw AU hold a narrow lead throughout but never managed to completely pull away from the Thunder.
- The Spartans would hang on and win the third set 25-21.
- Nelson had 13 assists while Katie Brisk had 10 digs and Kowalczyk added nine kills.
