College as a Senior ('11): He appeared in all ten games for the Spartans, recording 40 recpetions for 581 yards and four touchdowns.  He was named to the Offensive Second Team All-Northern Athletics Conference.

College as a Junior ('10): Appeared in eight games for the Spartans recording 26 catches for 457 yards.

College as a Sophomore ('09): He appeared in eight games for the Spartans, recording eight catches for 111 yards and scoring one touchdown.

College as a Freshman (’08): He appeared in 10 games for the Spartans, recording 12 catches for 173 yards and scoring one touchdown.

High School: He attended Spring Valley High School, where he played three years of varsity football under Coach Gary Vicini. He was named All-Area, All-Conference and All-State. He also played three years of varsity basketball under Coach Mike Flippini and four years of varsity baseball under Coach Tom Keegan.

Personal: Born 4/19/90 in Peru, IL.

Family: Hank and Denise Petersen. He has two brothers, Matt and Eric, and one sister, Brianne.

Hobbies: Golf.
