Biography

College as a Junior (’09): Appeared in 17 games, starting 11 for the Spartans. He hit .239 with 11 hits, one double, four RBIs and six stolen bases.

College as a Sophomore (’07): Appeared in 29 games, starting 26 for the Spartans. He hit .263 with 30 hits, 10 doubles, one triple, two home runs and 22 RBIs.

College as a Freshman (’07): Appeared in 14 games, starting two, and hit .286. He also had one double and three RBIs.

High School: Attended Streamwood High School. Played two years of baseball under Coach Steve Gertz and Erik Kehoe. He was named Academic All-Conference and All-Area Honorable Mention as a junior and senior, and All- Conference and Team MVP as a senior.

Personal: Born 10/7/87 in Elk Grove, IL.

Family: Howard and Joan Brauer. He has two brothers, Matt and Brian.
