Biography

2023: Named with Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference All-Conference Honorable mention honors. He threw 61.1 innings with a 3.82 ERA and a 7-0 record on the mound and set the all time AU wins record with 29.

2022: Was a NACC Second-Team All-Conference selection. Started in 12 games for the Spartans, pitching to a 3.95 ERA while striking out 53 hitters over 73 innings.

2021: Was named All-Region Second-Team by both D3baseball.com and ABCA/Rawlings and was named the NACC South Division Pitcher of the Year and First-Team All-Conference. Malmberg was also named to the CoSIDA District VII Academic All-District team. Appeared in 12 games for the Spartans, starting in all of them, recording a 2.24 ERA and 48 strikeouts over 72.1 innings pitched. Was named a NACC Scholar Athlete.

2020: *Season finished early due to COVID-19* Started three games with a 1-0 record while recording a 1.88 ERA and 19 strikeouts. Was named an AU and NACC Scholar-Athlete.

2019: Appeared in 10 games, starting five going 5-1. Malmberg posted a 4.81 ERA and 28 strikeouts. Was named an AU and NACC Scholar-Athlete.

High School: Graduated Grant Community High School where he competed in baseball.
