High School: Attended Lockport Township High School, where she was a two-year member of the varsity softball team under Coach Marissa Chovanec. She was named All-Conference as a senior. She was also a two-year member of the varsity golf team under Coach Dan Samules.

Personal: Born 9/20/90 in Arlington Heights, IL.

Family: Steve and Lisa Shimkus. She has one brother, Scott.

Hobbies: Shopping, the outdoors and cooking.
