2017: Starting all 10 games for the Spartans, Marek played center for an offense that rushed for 2,229 yards (5.0 per carry) and passed for 1,636 yards (163.6 per game). Was named an AU and NACC Scholar-Athlete.

High School: Attended Niles North High School where he participated in baseball and football. He earned first team All-Conference.
