College as a Junior (’09): Appeared in 27 games, starting 20 for the Spartans. He hit .395 with 30 hits, five doubles and 12 RBIs.

College as a Sophomore (’08): Appeared in 30 games, starting all 30 for the Spartans. He hit .297 with 30 hits, eight doubles, four home runs and
22 RBIs.

College as a Freshman (’07): Appeared in 17 games for the Spartans, starting 12. He hit .280 with two home runs and 10 RBIs.

High School: Attended Glenbard North High School. Played three years of varsity baseball under Coach Mike Franzen. He was named Team MVP and All-Conference senior year. He also played football under Coaches Dale Evans and Ryan Wilkens. He was named Honorable Mention All-Conference as a senior.

Personal: Born 9/15/87 in Burlington, IL.

Family: Mark and Laura Anklam. He has one sister, Michelle.
