Eric Stuedemann joined the Aurora University coaching staff in January of 2014. He serves as the Spartans offensive coordinator.
Stuedemann comes to AU from the University of Tennessee Martin. At UT Martin, he coached the running backs in 2013 after spending the 2012 season coaching the quarterbacks.
In Stuedemann's first season at UT Martin, he helped mold Derek Carr into one of the most prolific quarterback seasons in the history of Ohio Valley Conference. Carr ranked in the top-10 in the nation in points responsible for (17.45 per game, fifth), passing yards per game (397.82, seventh) and total passing yards (3,276, eighth) while ranking in the single-season top-five in the OVC record book in touchdowns (31, second), passing yards (3,276, fourth) and completions (264, fifth).
Prior to his time at UT Martin, Stuedemann served as an offensive graduate assistant at Mississippi State for head coach Dan Mullen from January 2009 to February 2012.
While at Mississippi State, the Bulldogs posted a cumulative record of 21-15, won three Egg Bowls (vs. Ole Miss) and claimed the 2010 Gator Bowl and the 2011 Music City Bowl.
Before Mississippi State, Stuedemann coached defensive backs for a year at his alma mater, North Central College. He coordinated the secondary for a team which went 11-1 and was ranked in the top 20 in five defensive categories.
As a player at North Central, Stuedemann was an All-American wide receiver, a team captain, a two-time all-conference selection, a twotime All-North Region selection and a Don Hansen Football Gazette All-American.
Stuedemann graduated from North Central as the all-time record holder in career receptions, the all-time record holder for receiving touchdowns in a game, second in school history in receiving yards and third in school history in touchdowns.
Stuedemann, from Tinley Park, Ill., majored in finance and economics at North Central. He earned his master's degree in teaching from Mississippi State. He is married to Kristina.
