Tim Janecek joined the Aurora University coaching staff as the defensive line coach in January of 2014.
Prior to joining the staff at AU, Janecek was a graduate assistant for North Central College in 2013, where He worked with the defensive linemen.
Janecek coached three First Team All-College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) honorees in 2013 with one lineman also being a First Team All-North Region pick.

He was a four-year letter winner and two-year starter at defensive end for North Central from 2006-2009, recording 16.5 tackles for loss and 9.5 quarterback sacks and earning All-CCIW honors twice. He was a part of four CCIW championship teams and three teams which qualified for NCAA Division III Championship competition.

After graduating with a degree in health and physical education, Janecek served as the dean’s assistant at Neuqua Valley and Metea Valley High Schools. He has also served as an assistant varsity football coach at both schools, in addition to a year as the head freshman wrestling coach at Neuqua Valley.

Janecek is a native of Bridgeview, Ill.
