Bob Barnett joined the Aurora University men's basketball staff prior to the 2022-2023 season as an assistant coach.
Coach Barnett brings a plethora of coaching experience having coached and taught at four High Schools in the Northern Illinois area, Franklin Center (1985-1989), McHenry (1989-1993), Hinckley-Big Rock (1993-2002) and Hampshire (2002-2019). He coached AU Head Coach Steve Christiansen when the two were at Hinckley-Big Rock.
A graduate of Eureka College and Oregon High School, Barnett was drafted by the Philadelphia Phillies in 1979 and played two seasons in the Phillies organization.
Barnett is married to Marcie and they have five grandchildren.
