Chad Trudo joined the Aurora University Athletic Department in January of 2012 as the Strength and Conditioning Coach. In the spring of 2021, he was named the Associate Athletic Director for Facilities and Logistics.

Trudo served as an Adjunct Professor and Director of Strength and Conditioning for nine years, where he designed and implemented training programs for 24 NCAA Division III varsity sports teams.  Trudo holds performance certifications with the National Strength and Conditioning Association, USA Olympic Weightlifting, USA Track and Field, Functional Movement, and American Sports Education Organizations. Additionally, Trudo served on the task force responsible for creating the newly designed Exercise Science major
 
Trudo also has engaged in research including publishing a manuscript titled Relationships between Isokinetic Core Strength and Field Based Athletic Performance Tests in Male Collegiate Baseball Players in the Journal of Exercise Science with the Journal of Exercise Physiology Online.  During his tenure, he has also presented several research abstracts (July 2017, November 2017, May 2018, July 2018) with the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA) and American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM).
 
With over 10 years of experience in the field of human performance, Trudo has worked with a wide variety of clients while holding positions with Loyola University Chicago, University of Dayton, and the Houston Rockets.  These experiences have provided Trudo exposure to exercise science technology including Zephyr Performance Systems, Kinduct, Team Buildr, Tendo Power Analyzers, Fit Lights, Bod Pod, force plates, electromyography, and metabolic testing.
 
Trudo’s previous and current instructional responsibilities include PED 2230 Olympic Style Weightlifting I, PED 2235 Olympic Style Weightlighting II, PED1210 Strength Training, PED 1410 Cardiovascular In & Out, Wellness Walking, PED 2550 Advanced Strength & Conditioning Certification, and PED 3880Applied Exercise Science.

Trudo is no stranger to AU as he spent his college basketball career (2005-2009) on the court for the Spartans. A four-time captain, Trudo was a three-time Northern Athletics Conference scholar-athlete and two-time NAC All-Conference selection. He finished as a member of the 1,000 point club with 1,333 points, 13th all-time. Trudo was part of three NCAA tournament and NAC championship teams.
