Josh Binder joined the AU men's basketball coaching staff for the 2013-2014 season as an assistant coach.
He played collegiatelly for St. Ambrose University for three seasons from 2006-09, appearing in a total of 89 games in his career and averaging 5.0 points and 2.8 rebounds per game. He shot 51.5% from the field for his career and in 2006-07 shot 55.3% from the field, which ranks among the top 20 all-time shooting percentages in a season in school history.
Binder graduated from St. Ambrose in the spring of 2009 with a degree in physical education. He has coaching experiences at Iowa Wesleyan University and Eureka College as an assistant basketball coach.
Binder is a native of Sterling, Ill., and a graduate of Sterling High School. He is married to Betsy and lives in Aurora.
