Ben Coughlin

Ben Coughlin returned to the Aurora University men's lacrosse staff as an assistant coach for the 2017-2018 season.

Coughlin spent the 2013-2014 season as an assistant for the Spartans before moving on to a Head Coaching role at Benedictine College (Kansas) where he built the program from the ground up and in two seasons held a 10-15 record and qualified for the conference tournament.

After receiving an Honorable Discharge from the United States Navy, Coughlin enrolled at Kansas State University in the Fall of 2006 where he earned his bachelors degree in sociology and psychology. He was a 4-year member on the Kansas State lacrosse team and served on the team's executive board for three years.
Upon graduating, Coughlin coached for the Olathe Lacrosse Club for the 2011 and 2012 season. In the 2012 season Coughlin was the head Varsity coach and guided his team to a 7-2 conference record and an appearance in the Lacrosse Association of Kansas City Final Four. Also, while in Kansas City, Coughlin also helped coached True Lacrosse Kansas City and the Kansas City Orange Lacrosse Club.
In the spring of 2013 Coughlin took over as the head coach at the University of Illinois where he posted a 5-2 conference record in the GRLC.
