Joe Lopopolo joined the Aurora University men's lacrosse coaching staff as a graduate assistant prior to the 2019-2020 season.
Lopopolo has previously served as an assistant coach for Manhattanville College in Purchase, New York. For two seasons he served as the sideline and specialist coach, helping the Valiants make the Mac-Freedom playoffs in 2018 for the first time in over a decade as well as coaching 6 different all conference players. Joe also coached boys and girls lacrosse at the high school and middle school level while working for 3d tri-state lacrosse club.
Following a record-setting career at New Rochelle High School, where he graduated as the all-time points leader, Lopopolo continued his lacrosse career for the Generals at Herkimer County Community College, a dominant Junior College program in upstate New York where he was a captain, two time all mountain-valley conference midfielder and made the NJCAA all-star game. Joe then transferred to Division II Mercy College where he continued to excel at the two-way midfield position.
A native of New Rochelle New York, Lopopolo graduated from Mercy in 2015 with a degree in Exercise Physiology.
