Reid Mayberry

Reid Mayberry was named Head Coach of the Aurora University men's lacrosse program in the summer of 2018, becoming the third head coach in program history.

Mayberry came to AU after a two year stint at Midwest Lacrosse Conference opponent Marian University where he was named the first coach in the history of Marian men's lacrosse in late May of 2016.

His ties to AU date back to his time at Widener University where he served as the Offensive Assistant Coach and Director of Recruiting under AU's inaugural Head Coach Brendan Dawson. While at Widener, Mayberry helped guide the Pride to three Commonwealth Conference Tournament appearances and in his three seasons with the program the Pride amassed a 19-5 conference record. He coached two USILA All-Americans, 20 all MAC-Commonwealth Conferences players, a Conference Rookie of the Year, and a North-South Game participant.

Mayberry began his coaching career in 2013 as a volunteer assistant coach at Roanoke College, assisting in the day-to-day planning for the team, practices and team workouts. He worked primarily with the offense, was the man-up coach and ran the substitution box.

As a student-athlete, Mayberry competed three seasons for Roanoke and was picked third team All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference as a senior in 2012. He played one season at Salisbury University and was a member of the Salisbury 2008 National Championship team.  He also was an All-American at W.T. Woodson High School in Fairfax, VA winning four District Championships and one Regional Title.

Mayberry earned a bachelor's degree in health and human performance from Roanoke College and a master's degree in educational foundations from Widener University.
