Nick Rizzo joins the Spartan men's soccer coaching staff in the fall of 2011.
Rizzo comes to AU from Loras College where he spent the 2010 season as an assistant coach for the Duhawks. Prior to coaching at Loras, Rizzo was a four-year letter winner including all four seasons as a starter, three-time Iowa-Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (IIAC) all-conference, three-time IIAC academic all-conference and two-time CoSIDA-ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District.
Rizzo made the NCAA tournament all four seasons at Loras with Final Four appearances in 2007 and 2008.
He currently holds an NSCAA national diploma and received his bachelor's degree in Education with a Mathematics endorsement from Loras.
A native of Wheaton, Ill., Rizzo graduated from St. Francis Academy.
