James Karwin, born and raised in San Diego, was at aurora university as a student and player from 2018-2023. In his time on the court he achieved 3x first team all conference, 2x all region, and 1x conference player of year, leading the team to first in conference in 2022 and 2023.Â
He graduated with a bachelors in secondary education mathematics and is now in his first year as a Precalculus Honors teacher at Plainfield North High School, where he also coaches the girls Jv volleyball team.Â
Although he’s early in his coaching career, playing volleyball for 15 years has taught Karwin a lot about the game and passing that knowledge down to the younger generation of players is what drives him to be the best coach he can.Â
