Luca Wanek joined the Aurora University athletic department in the 2017-2018 season as the graduate assistant with the men’s volleyball program.
Wanek comes to AU after finishing his playing career at Limestone College where he was a four-year varsity athlete and served as team captain during his final two years. He appeared in 52 matches as a setter and currently ranks fourth in program history with 905 assist for the Division II program located in Gaffney, SC. Off the court, Wanek was four year Academic Dean’s Scholar, made the Dean’s List six times and was a Presidential Honor Roll. In 2016, Wanek was part of the Conference Carolina’s Academic All-conference team.
A Schwäbisch Gmünd, Germany native, Wanek graduated from Limestone College as a double major in Sports and Business Management while pursuing a minor in Coaching and graduated in May of 2017.
